Part-Time | Full Time | Evening & Weekend Availability Required

Dog Training Camp USA is looking for motivated, dependable team members who want to build real experience in the dog training industry.

This is not just a kennel job. Our Assistant Dog Trainers are part of the foundation of every dog’s success during training camp. You will learn structured handling skills, reinforce obedience and behavioral expectations, and work alongside experienced trainers in a fast-paced team environment.

How We Lead Dogs

Assistant Dog Trainers help reinforce structure and training throughout the dog’s entire stay by:

  • Practicing safe leash handling and threshold manners
  • Supervising play and structured activities
  • Monitoring dog behavior, stress levels, and overall wellbeing
  • Reinforcing obedience expectations during daily routines
  • Helping dogs remain calm, successful, and engaged throughout camp

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured potty breaks, play sessions, and kennel rotations
  • Reinforce training procedures and handling standards established by senior trainers
  • Assist trainers during handling and training exercises
  • Feed dogs and maintain sanitation procedures
  • Perform kennel cleaning, dish sanitation, waste removal, and facility upkeep
  • Complete assigned shift responsibilities to company standards
  • Monitor and respond to team communication through Slack and other systems
  • Observe and report behavioral or health concerns to senior staff

What We Expect From Our Team

  • Must be 17 years or older
  • Must pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
  • Must be physically capable of handling large breed dogs safely
  • Evening and weekend availability required
  • Must be available by 4 PM on weekdays
  • Strong work ethic, accountability, and willingness to learn are essential

Experience working with dogs is preferred, but mindset, reliability, and coachability matter just as much.
