    Champps Brings Burgers, Beer and Sports to Louisville
Concept celebrates 25 years and benefits Dream Foundation
LOUISVILLE, KY (November 2, 2012) — Celebrating 25 years, CHAMPPS Americana
announces its debut in the Louisville market. With a “scratch” kitchen, 29 beers on tap and more
than 20 70-inch LCD TV screens, in addition to three projector screens, Champps provides the
best seat outside the stadium for every game. The newest location at 302 Bullitt Lane opens
each day at 4 p.m. starting November 7th and will open at 11:00 a.m. daily beginning November
11th. The restaurant will host a ribbon cutting on Monday, November 12th in conjunction with the
St. Matthews Area Chamber of Commerce and on November 19th, Champps will donate 20% of
proceeds to Louisville’s very own Dream Foundation and their project called “Play Together
Playground” promoting improvements to area playgrounds so both kids with and without
disabilities can play together.
“We are genuinely excited to open a new Champps in the amazing city of Louisville. We
look forward to becoming a part of the community, especially through organizations like Dream
Foundation,” said Managing Partner, Dan O’Connell.
With a focus on food in addition to sports and cold beer, Champps offers a large menu
and a “scratch” kitchen featuring signature items such as Mongolian Egg Rolls, Roasted
Artichoke and Chicken Penne, and Bourbon Salmon. “I am proud of our chefs and menu…we
make our soups, sauces and signature dressings from the freshest ingredients. We slow-roast
our ribs, hand bread our chicken tenders, and make our chips fresh every day,” commented
Executive Chef James Bell. “Guests go crazy for our blue cheese dressing…it’s hard to beat a
nice spicy wing dipped into homemade blue cheese dressing.”
