About Us

Waterfront Botanical Gardens is an urban botanical garden that is transforming a landfill into a place where nature prospers and people thrive through education, entertainment, community, and tourism. The Gardens opened in 2019 and have completed Phase 1 of our Master Plan.

In April 2026, the Gardens began construction on Phase 2A of our Master Plan, the next step in transforming a former landfill into a 23-acre world-class botanical destination. This phase includes the Graeser Family Bonsai Garden, Joe & Debbie Graviss Bonsai House, the Tree Allee, Beargrass Creek Overlook, and completed Beargrass Creek Pathway loop, and is expected to be complete in Spring 2027.

Waterfront Botanical Gardens is free and open to the public, with a suggested admission of $10. Classes, events, and venue rentals are also available. Learn more at waterfrontgardens.org
