Bards & Storytellers: Playwright Leona Godin
Join us to meet Leona Godin, a New York-based playwright and performer. Leona has written and directed plays focusing on Helen Keller and on the early history of education for the blind. We will hear about the personal events and forces that have shaped her career, and we’ll also be treated to a few performance excerpts from her plays. This program, as part of APH’s “Bards and Storytellers” annual arts, folklore, and performance series, celebrates the historical traditions of entertainers with vision loss. Admission is free, but registration is required. Call 502-899-2213 or email kcarpenter@aph.org to register. Best for adults and children age 12 and up.
