Event Description:
Explore how blindness is depicted by Hollywood at our APH Museum Film Festival. The summer event screens films featuring an important character who is blind, followed by discussion. Best for older children and adults. All three films include audio description. Please make reservations by noon the day before the screening. Call 502-899-2213 or email kcarpenter@aph.org to register. See No Evil, Hear No Evil (1989), directed by Arthur Hitler. A blind man (Richard Pryor) and a deaf man (Gene Wilder) witness a murder. However, the police are unwilling to accept them as creditable witnesses, and so the pair work together to bring the murderers to justice. Lots of farcical situations and broad humor. Best for ages 12 and above.
