Explore how blindness is depicted by Hollywood at our APH Museum Film Festival. The event screens films featuring an important character who is blind, followed by discussion. Based on the play written by Leonard Gershe, a blind man (Edward Albert) moves into his own apartment against the wishes of his overprotective mother (Eileen Heckart), and befriends an aspiring actress who lives next door (Goldie Hawn). Nominated for several Oscars, the movie scored one win for Eileen Heckart as best supporting actress. Best for older children and adults. All films include audio description. Please make reservations by noon the day before the screening. Call 502-899-2213 or email kcarpenter@aph.org to register.
