Join us for the 2026 Louisville Walk for Apraxia, a free, family-friendly community event taking place at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, Shelter 1 (3000 Freys Hill Road, Louisville, KY 40241) on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., the walk kicks off at 10:00 a.m., and the event wraps up at 12:00 p.m. This walk raises awareness and vital funds for children living with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) — a neurological motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to speak, despite fully understanding language. Hosted by Apraxia Kids, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the walk brings together families, friends, and community supporters to celebrate every child's journey to find their voice. Every child Apraxia Star is individually recognized with a medal and certificate, and family-friendly activities are available for all ages. Registration is free, and all proceeds support apraxia research, resources for families, and training for speech-language pathologists. Learn more and register at apraxia-kids.org.
