DESCRIPTION:Our Monthly Business Meetings include informative\, entertaining\, and motivating speakers. Chamber Business Meetings are traditionally held each month on the third Wednesday at the Big Spring Country Club\, 5901 Dutchmans Lane\, Louisville Kentucky 40207.\n\n \n\nThese are scheduled luncheons from 11:30 am 1 pm with the exception of our scholarship breakfast in April which is 7:30 am- 9 am.\n\n \n\nYou MUST pre-register online in the events calendar\n\n or by calling the office at (502) 899-2523.\n\nCost is $20 for Chamber Members and Guests\; we encourage our members to bring guests.\n\n \n\nIt starts with an informal networking where attendees entering the room have a chance to network with members. That is followed by delicious meal provided by Big Spring Country Club. This meeting is usually attended by local business professionals\, business owners and supportive City officials\; it is an intimate way to meet with the area's mover and shakers.\n\n \n\nBring a guest and plenty of business cards and be prepared to exchange information with members who are excited to do business with fellow chamber members.\n\n \n\nWe would like to thank the City of St. Matthews for hosting our monthly business meetings at the Big Springs Country Club.\n\n \n\nSpeaker - Mayor Greg Fischer\n\n\n\nGreg Fischer is in his second term as Louisville's 50th mayor.\n\n\n\nHis administration is focused on three top goals: creating good-paying jobs\, improving education at all levels\, and making Louisville an even more compassionate city. He was named a 2013 "Public Official of the Year" by Governing Magazine\, the only US mayor to earn the distinction.\n\n\n\nUsing many of the performance-improvement approaches he used as a businessman\, he has instituted a data-driven approach to city government with a goal of making it more efficient and accessible -- making sure that every tax dollar is wisely spent.\n\n\n\nHe is an entrepreneur who started several businesses including SerVend International and Iceberg Ventures\, a private investment firm. He also co-founded bCatalyst\, the first business accelerator in Louisville.
